If you are looking for compact, attractive speakers that look good, it is difficult OS3 better than the Mirage. (The series OS3 are the third generation of the note OMNISAT Mirage speakers.) I am very clear and open, without the dull sound that boxiness or conventional compact speakers often.
The OS3s are a particularly good choice if you want speakers for a room, not seeking their own theater at home with the layout recommended. That is, if airregular rooms, several sitting areas, or room for more than watching movies and listening music to fill the OS3s an incredible job in the room with beautiful sound. Many conventional speakers are directional, so that only the best sound in a "sweet spot" in space. Omnidirectional speakers such as these, on the other hand, sound in a wide circular area (or in technical terms, have very broad distribution). This is part of the way these little speakers fill the room with sound.
You can use these in any speaker position (front, left, center, surrounds), or combine them with the appropriate OS3-FS tower speakers and Mirage Mirage OS3-CC center channel speaker combination.
With 8 ohms impedance, are compatible with any receiver. The sensitivity of 89dB means they are easy to drive - do not require excessive force to produce sound. But with a capacity of 150 watts, can produce a lotSound.
Changes in version V2 are mostly cosmetic - Mirage knew they could sell much more than that if they offered a glossy black or white. There are some minor technical changes as well - ripped around, and some other minor changes in driver standings. (Only the speaker have a few more changes.)
A few things to consider when thinking about whether they are right for you:
- The OS3s are very small for the sound they produce, butare not looking to small speaker 5-1/4 "W x 8-1/4" H x 6-1/8 "D. for size, and find something on the home size to give you an idea of how they fit in. (Mirage has the smallest NANOSAT Mirage and Mirage Prestige Satellite MX Satellite Speakers. While they are beautiful, do not quite have the performance OS3s. But they are very popular because of their size.)
- Alternatively, if space is available, use this only as a satellite and get the FS (ground) andCenter speaker, the perfect this.
- If you have a room with a lot of very hard surfaces (all glass and walls, not a lot of curtains and carpets) may have, there's a lot of acoustic reflections in the high end of these omnidirectional speakers, so that they sound like too "light" or a bit 'hard in the room. How has placed them on the right (away from walls and windows) that might help, but perhaps not the best choice in a room.
- Despite their amazing ability to fillone room, like all speakers placement relative to where you feel is important to always have the best sound. You must be able, in cases where you sit look around for the best sound.

Recently I had the Mirage OS3-SAT Expo-mail through to get to $ 144 (with coupon NLBASS, of course). But in reality, this is a great product. I use in my apartment for a time friendly and even private parties. The sound is great. E 'has been great with my other receiver and speakers Fata Morgana, and all in all, the connection is a breeze, and quality. It sounds too good!

Bought to replace my Polk Monitor 30 surrounds, when I was looking for something that combines a clean sound with a smaller footprint. Hooked to my Denon AVR 2106, when she arrived and heard on Day 3 of them to stream iTunes, DVD and HDTV all I can say, wow, these speakers are great!
Great sound with amazing clarity. The bass thumps and the sound is not turbid than the Polks.
I originally had available to them, but decided to mountto 8 'above the ground. The sound comes from all over the crowd as opposed to straight now.
