OLD REVIEW: I bought this hub a few years but only recently decided to use it. Was mounted, so did not want to deal with this part. The sound quality is terrible!
(Update: DIS .. I had to mount the turntable to my receiver access EQ and Phone outlets had, so I had to change the EQ switch on the turntable now seems, if you have one installed, it is with the definition of standards is, there are no RCA connectors are on the receiver. Oncereassembled (band broke up and had to play with a little 'to do it right) .. the turntable is great ... but the EQ switch should be on the outside of the machine.)
OLD REVIEW: My CDs and tapes sound fine with the same receiver and speakers, but the records are terrible. I tried again and clean. No luck. Move the speakers as the troubleshooting section of the manual recommended. No improvement. Check the connections for the manual. No improvement. Bought a new penIn the original damaged, the couple moved I bought a hub. No improvement. I give up. I think I have a bad and too late to go. Circuit City is out of business.

I have this device with my son for his birthday, and he enjoys the very heat of the vinyl. Of course it had its own speaker, a negative could buy some. Over all its a great unit.

My big play 30-40 years old LPs on this turntable. Some play with visible scratches, no noise or skips. I had some excessive noise and missed only three or four discs of about 60 that I've ever played. The couple had scratches that looked like a knife was pulled across the surface.
This turntable is a good buy even at a higher price I paid at another store, because every [IKEA] within 130 miles has been sold out and I did not want to match.
A salesman tried to sell me a pre-amp to go along with this turntable. He does not need. E 'equipped with a preamplifier, they are already connected to the AUX jack or video, with an option when the connection has been reset to the PHONO jacks.
If I sold the units for much higher prices were compared, I'm sure would not rate higher than five stars, but I'm rating for price and my usage, reproduction of a system of mini library that can mean only cost a little 'respect for the turntable.

I did this for a starter system, and does the job. If you want to collect the records, well, this will do the job. It is not going to put the world on fire so the sound quality, but it works fine. My only limitation of the turntable is the kind of cheap, plastic feel Fischer-Price has. But I bought it because it is the job for the price I paid for it.
