Overview - This subgroup is perfect for my needs - I prefer a sealed sub is the cleaner, easier to monitor and control the output ideal (subs vs ported) for calibration. Calibration of a sub is more important than specific - a subset you can never get the right sound is much less satisfactory than a child, what can be perfectly calibrated.

are infinitelyPhasing-out of control. Most U-boats simply phasing 0-180 degrees, and I found some exercises just can not get sound in some of my listening rooms irregular. This subwoofer Polk has four positions (0-90-180-270) and best of all - the remote control. Some people have to necessarily have to calibrate the sub to the front of the LED to complain, but nothing is simpler and more effective than a subset of the set-up settings from the listening position. My remote battery wasdied and the box, but luckily I had a sit CR2025 lithium cell.
Calibration and Performance - I am writing this after my first day of installation. I got my first break when using the Tara Labs Cascade Noise CD for a few hours. The remote control allows easy comparison of the Polk EQ modes, producing more natural (flat) down with my favorite corner placement. I also tried placing the center wall with the appropriate EQ setting, but I liked the configuration anglebetter. The ability to vote, the progressive from the remote control have the sub is perfect with my phasing power, synchronized bass more than I've ever made with the energy and also with the ideal extension. Anyone who has power, which is decent bass extension in love with these subwoofers, autumn and have subtitles and how to calibrate the full range of network elimination is a nightmare. I already sounds better than my Polk Energy ESW-V8 (8 "top model, before firing and rear ported 200/800w BASH amplifier) in afew hours of tuning, simply because of the ease of calibration. The Energy technically something goes lower (26Hz rolloff), but Polk is clean and music (probably a combination of sealed cfg and ease of calibration) and I did not really notice the difference in bass response. The construction quality of energy is better (much like the 2000-4000 models), but Polk is still very impressive, as I expect with their products. I did not compare the dynamicsThe two ends of the U boat, but I use more sub apart from the music at a low level of moderate respect for the home theater / rattling my house. I would expect that the Polk sealed in low frequency power handling thanks to its architecture amp stronger to win, and a larger surface area due to the passive radiator.
Side Note - I unfortunately lost the sale here at Amazon, Newegg instead of buying. Receipt of the sub was so scary as Newegg's "right to a refund or exchange, if you sign up for them," the policyproposed, such as UPS has its usual shoddy work - the package into a pulp including a large hole through the side near the woofer cone was ripped beaten. The dispatch center and I had signed him delivered in this state, even though my e-mail alert of this policy. Surprisingly, the sub had no damage and works perfectly. UPS has high-end speakers I bought it damaged in the past and are gouging for brokerage commissions sent notes throughout the United States. On the other hand, myPackages from Amazon arrived in perfect condition!

This thing really fills the lower end. sounds very smoothly with the matching speaker and has the ability to actually "bump" (I have the A1 RTI), but it sounds very different from the sub port. sound very, very different. I think that sounds a bit 'more like the music. even rap really sounds like you're in the room for a subwoofer. Some people like that sound, though. I am very happy with this subgroup.
Side note: it seems extra depending on location. valuePurchase of a right-angle connector, placed in a corner. and play with him. sometimes when I place that would have been right, as has been sending waves of sound on both sides and diagonally across the room, but there are pockets where there is no bottom.

I bought this sub for lack of space in the back of my system. I was afraid that I would be putting off immediately after their arrival. When I opened the package I chuckled a little. It seemed smaller than I thought. But they fit perfectly with my TV and electronics. I went through the effort of the device, hoping for the best. Well, I blew the "Little Monster 'me away before I now have the ability to tweek knows, I do not like Polk has done, but I was SOLD! And the remote is a great advantage.Never thought you could easily set up a sub out of your home where you should do. Getting up and down is a break. It really makes settings easy to achieve. If you go by just looks, you can not fool. Close your eyes and be amazed. I know that the eyes can trick your ears. Just to feel how close it is. No boom or long WOOOOING BASS if it should be. So, this hide LITTLE Godzilla, where it can be seen, and forget its size. If youcatches my attention now and then I get a little 'funny, because I can not believe all the bass coming from this Sub. If the order you want them to shop. Prices vary and change quickly. You should find this little gem under 400.00, if you're happy. Not the 900.00 retail.

Used in my home theater system - The sound is excellent and exactly what I expected. Size was a concern, because I installed in a small closet. They fit perfectly and the sound exceeded my expectations for the size of the device. I should probably run through some of the additional features have been updated, but I could not justify the additional cost, even though I now consider more money for extra felxibility would.

Now as far as "wow factor" goes, do not expect miracles. And I really do not understand, "Wow! Who has heard so far.
Overall, I think its worth what I paid for this ... under 4 bills, but I think I should also have more $ $ for something that might get a bit 'lower spending Hz
